Coordinated by the Forward Studies Unit for the Maritime Peripheries within the Conference of Peripheral Maritime Regions of Europe (CPMR), the "Europe of the Sea" project includes 5 areas of consideration European maritime economy :
Each of the topics is headed by a working group drawn from a dozen authorities and coordinated by a Maritime Region in Europe and an expert. The regions of Brittany (France) and Norte (Portugal) are steering the project.
